Boyden Gray & Associates partner Andrew Varcoe will be speaking on November 13 on regulatory issues relating to high-octane, low-carbon fuels as part of a Capitol Hill panel briefing, sponsored by the Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI), for congressional staffers and others. The briefing will examine how high-octane, low-carbon fuel can facilitate compliance with fuel efficiency and emissions standards, set to rise significantly by 2025, that are administered jointly by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Mr. Varcoe’s co-panelists will be Dr. Robert McCormick, Principal Engineer for the Fuels and Combustion Science Group at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL); Brian West, Group Leader for the Fuels, Engines, and Emissions Research Group at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL); and Dean Drake, President of Defour Group, LLC.
